Dr, Dikko Umar Radda

Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, born on September 10, 1969, in Hayingada, Dutsinma LGA of Katsina State, is the current Governor of Katsina State. He holds a B.Tech in Agricultural Economics and Extension from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (1996), an MSc in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology (2004), a Master’s in International Affairs and Diplomacy (2005), and a PhD in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology (2015) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

His career spans teaching, banking, and public service. He served as Executive Chairman and later Caretaker Chairman of Charanchi LGA, Senior Legislative Aide at the National Assembly, National Welfare Secretary of the APC, and Chief of Staff to the Katsina State Governor before becoming Director-General/CEO of SMEDAN.

A traditional titleholder, Gwagwaren Katsina, Dr. Radda has presented academic papers locally and internationally and is a recipient of numerous awards. He is married with children.
